Tankless water heaters
Why choose tankless?
Tankless water heaters are efficient, have a small footprint and never run out of hot water.
Some models come with a built-in recirculation pump that works with a bypass valve to create a hot water recirculation system in your home with no need to run additional piping. The heat exchanger is made from high-quality stainless steel. Navien units have the ability to diagnose their own issues and can be connected to your phone. Navien tankless units come with a 15-year limited warranty on heat exchangers, a 5-year limited warranty on parts, and a 1-year limited labor warranty.

In most cases, the cost of installing your tankless heater matches our flat-rate base price. There are some requirements that will increase the price. The unit needs a larger diameter gas supply than your conventional model. A 3/4″ gas line is required. If you don’t have this we will have to run a larger gas line to the unit or it won’t pass inspection. If your old tank model shares a vent with your furnace then the PVC venting will need to run either horizontally and out through a wall or a new roof penetration will have to be made.
Bigger houses may require an external recirculation pump booster to help push the water.

You are going to pay about double to install a tankless water heater. Gas savings offset the cost somewhat. Navien heaters are space-saving, and energy-saving and provide unlimited hot water. When installed and maintained correctly they are very reliable.
The life span of a tank model is about 10-12 years. A tankless water heater can last 25 years or longer with proper maintenance.
Gas-fired water heaters will save homeowners over $100 annually. They qualify for a $300 federal water heater tax credit and a $300 New Mexico Gas rebate!
